2006 SOLANO COUNTY FAIR

HORSE RACING MEET

The 2006 Solano County Fair offers eleven exciting days of live horse racing action beginning on Wednesday July 12th through Sunday July 16th and continuing Wednesday, July 19th through Monday, July 24th, 2006

Admission and parking are free on Wednesday, July 12th, Thursday July 13th and Monday, July 24th.

Thoroughbred, Arabian, Quarter Horse, and Mule Racing will be featured.

Pari-mutuel wagering is available on all races including imported races from major racing associations around the country. Post time for the first race is 12:45 p.m. each day.

The popular Win/Place/Show promotion will return in 2006. Each day a lucky fan can win $100/ $75/$50 if their entries are drawn at the conclusion of the designated race.  You must be 18 years of age to enter.

New this year is the chance to win $10,000 in a golf putting contest.  Daily drawing winners will attempt to sink two putts, one from 10 ten feet and the second from fifty feet. Successful putters qualify to compete in the finals on Sunday, July 23rd for the $10,000 Grand Prize.
